Partner with CBS
Independent locally. Supported nationally.
Whether you're an experienced agent ready to work for yourself or a small agency carrying the full weight of compliance and administration, you can operate with the systems, support and experience of an established group behind you.
For experienced agents
Work for yourself, with a powerful platform behind you.
You know your town, your clients and your market. Perhaps you already work on your own, belong to a remote national network, or work in a local agency and are ready to step out under your own steam.
Your Fidelity Fund Certificate and registration sit with one of the group's agencies, and there's more than one to choose from. You can trade under a group brand or in your own name, powered by the group. You don't need to qualify or register as a principal yourself.
What you get is the freedom to run your own business, the infrastructure of a much larger one, and a commercial deal designed to reward what you produce.
Working with the group gives you:
- Systems and admin support: listing uploads, offer-to-purchase assistance, deal tracking and a library of legal documents, with contract guidance from experienced principals.
- Marketing support: professional templates, design help, social media set-up and advertising on the major property portals.
- Compliance and training: induction and legal training, system training and support with ongoing compliance.
- Room to grow: the back office and expertise to build or keep running your own rental book, and specialist support if you branch into business sales, commercial property or sectional title schemes.
- A wider network: take part in the group's online sessions and activities as much or as little as you like.
- A competitive commercial deal, explained openly in our first conversation.
For small agencies
Keep your brand. We become the engine under the hood.
Running a small agency in South Africa today means far more than listing and selling. Compliance requirements keep growing, systems keep getting more expensive, and the best technology is often out of reach for a smaller office. A rental book run on older tools takes more time than it should, and taking on schemes can feel out of the question.
You don't want to sell. You want a strong partner. Under a support agreement, your principal and your agency stay responsible for the business and its compliance, and CBS makes sure you have the systems, processes and expertise to get it right. You carry on listing, selling and building your landlord base. Your name, your brand and your client relationships stay exactly as they are.
Depending on what you need, support can include:
- Compliance support: guidance and checks to help your principal stay on top of FICA, POPIA, Fidelity Fund Certificate renewals, trust account requirements and audit preparation.
- Systems and technology: access to modern property, accounting and communication systems at group scale, without carrying the full cost alone.
- Rental administration: your rental book run on current systems, with owner statements, arrears and reporting handled centrally.
- Scheme administration: the financial and secretarial capability to take on sectional title schemes with confidence.
- Back-office and financial administration, so your team can spend more time with clients.
- Experience on call: access to people who have run agencies, rental books and schemes for years.
If you'd rather hand over the admin and compliance altogether and simply keep working in the business you've built, that's a different conversation: an acquisition.
Selling your business
Ready to sell? We buy property businesses.
Selling a rental book or property business shouldn't take years of negotiating, uncertainty and paperwork. We buy established businesses outright, and we make it simple. Step away completely, or stay on and keep doing the part you enjoy while the group takes over the administration and compliance.
We buy
- Residential rental books and property management portfolios
- Sectional title and scheme management businesses
- Short-term rental management businesses
- Independent property agencies
We've done this before
Businesses we've bought are now running smoothly inside the group. Thinking about retirement, a new direction, or just wanting it off your plate? Let's talk. You don't need to have decided anything first.
How it works
- Tell us about your business.
A confidential conversation, with no obligation.
- Get a clear offer.
We look at your book and your numbers and, where there's a fit, make a clear offer for an outright purchase.
- We handle the handover.
We plan the transfer of clients, records and compliance around your business, so your landlords and owners keep getting the service they're used to.
